Modeling of mortality is very actual issue now, especially because of necessity of mortality forecasting into the future. There are many methods, that are engaged with this theme, and based on different bases. I would like to explain alternative way of modelling and predicting of mortality. This model will not be based on predicting mortality rates, but modelling proportion of mortality rates of two neighbouring age groups. Paper tries to build model based on mortality ratio between individual age groups and development of this indicator in the time period.
